5-MeO-MiPT Overview

5-MeO-MiPT, commonly called Moxy, is a synthetic psychedelic in the substituted tryptamine family. It is chemically related to 5-MeO-DMT, but its effects are generally quite different.

Commonly reported effects

• Heightened touch, physical sensation, and sexual arousal
• Increased energy, sociability, and emotional openness
• Enhanced music appreciation
• Altered colours, patterns, depth perception, or visual movement
• Introspective or unusually associative thinking
• Euphoria or an MDMA-like emotional quality
• At stronger exposure: confusion, disorientation, anxiety, and more intense psychedelic effects

Compared with traditional psychedelics, Moxy is often described as more stimulating, tactile, and body-focused. It is usually less visually dominant than LSD or psilocybin at lower exposure levels. It is not simply a weaker version of 5-MeO-DMT.

Onset and duration

Reported oral effects generally begin within 15 to 60 minutes, peak around 1 to 2 hours, and may last approximately 4 to 8 hours. Residual stimulation, sleeplessness, or mood changes can continue longer.
